Sharon Madison – Denver, Englewood
Be fearless. Never say never. Sharon Madison is a fitness instructor at Endorphin and fitness coach. She is proud to be 54 and inspires people of all ages to go beyond what you think you can do and FEEL GOOD about doing it. There are no excuses in Sharon’s class. All you have to do is get out there and do it, and she will support you every step of the way, whether you’re whining or not. Live without limits.
Sharon has faced uncertainty in her athletic ability, but she overcame those fears through cycling and the support of a friend and a coach. She didn’t grow up as an athlete. At age 40 she got a bike as birthday present. She met a coach who pushed her to get out there and race with no excuses. Despite her apprehensions, she over exceeded her race goal of 5 races and completed 22 races that first summer!
Now, Sharon is an avid bike racer and part of a women’s bike team that cycles around the country. Drawing upon her struggles and triumphs, Sharon teaches from a place of kindness, strength and the will to push further. She understands it can be intimidating to walk into a fitness studio for the first time and try to keep up with 20-40 strangers who don’t blink an eye at 60 minutes of riding a Ryders bike that moves side to side, doing nonstop intervals of burpees, pushups, squats and whatever else is on the white board menu that day. “You can do this!” she cheers. “Get out of your comfort zone!”
Regardless of who you are, how old you are or your level of expertise, Sharon welcomes you. She encourages you to get through the first class and motivates you to come back for more because it really does get easier. Sharon is living proof that there are no limits to what you can do, that once you engage your will and mental grit, anything is possible.
Sharon’s mottos: “Never Say Never” and “Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits!” She trains, coaches and lives by these mottos.
Sharon’s favorite quote is by C.S. Lewis: “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”
